Would you love to stop feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed and confused? If so, I have some great news for you....But before I tell you more, let me share this little story with you...

Recently Damien and I bought a new bed. Since our new bed doesn’t have drawers underneath, I instinctively knew that this was going to be a great opportunity to reassess my storage options.

What I didn't know, was that it actually proved to be the perfect chance to reassess and declutter my whole entire wardrobe!

I simply started by taking all my clothes out of my wardrobe and placing them in piles. I put all the different trousers, tops, dresses etc that I owned on my bed on top of each other. With them all stacked on top of each other, I started to count up the number of clothes I owned and look at each piece individually.

I have to say, I was pretty surprised (and a little shocked!) to discover that I had way more than I thought - Ahem, like 42 summer dresses (yes, really!) and 36 yoga tops...

Since some of them were clothes that were a few years old, that I hadn't worn for ages were years old. I reflected on how much I have changed since I had bought them or used to wear them. As I looked at them and touched them, I realised that even though there was nothing wrong with them, these were the things taking up space in my life. I decided to be quite brave and give myself the space I needed to sit with them and  see if I still loved each item.

I asked myself reflective questions, such as...

Do I still wear this item of clothing?

Do I still love this item of clothing?

If not, who else could use it?

Who else might be able to enjoy wearing it?

Looking at each item, I intuitively knew that I could spend a little bit of time with each item, touching it, so that it could 'speak' to me.

As I did, I decided I didn't need to hold on to all these things, and it was the right time to let many things go. I started going through each item one by one - mentally either giving it to charity, or keeping it.

It felt so good!

I felt so liberated -  lighter, freer and clearer… And, the best thing is that now my wardrobe is so spacious. And, I love everything in it. Plus, it's easy for me to see all the clothes that I own.

This one simple act of decluttering my wardrobe has given me a new sense of clarity, in other areas of my life as well. I've moved on to reassessing my paperwork, my electronic storage options, my kitchen cupboards, and even my handbag.

Everything has a place.

It really feels like a miracle!

When you love what you own, it's easy to love your life!
