Here are 8 Simple Tips that anyone can follow to improve the quality of your life.
Tip #1: Clear Clutter
The first thing you need to do is clear clutter out of your life. If you have never done this, start SLOW-ly!!! I have been aware of this principle and reducing my clutter for over 10 years now.
Once you start doing this, the effects are sooo powerful you may, like me, want to keep this Clearing Clutter as a way of discipline and way of living!
Before you start, I recommend a short book to read by Karen Kingston called "Clear Your Clutter".
To get started, choose a space in your house, office, garage, studio that has collected clutter. Maybe a drawer, cupboard, desk, kitchen, make up bag, wardrobe... you get the idea!
To lighten your body, you first need to lighten your life. Not many people know this wee secret, but clearing your clutter is the catalyst that allows you to start connnecting with who you really are ... a beautiful, trim and vibrant person with dreams and goals.
TIP #2: Today do something special for yourself.....
This is what I want you to do....
Book a facial or a full body massage (or a special treat for yourself) AND a colonic for next week - preferably towards the end of the week. Losing weight is a holistic and totally integrative approach to living. The colonic is the start of gently detoxing your body and the massage is the treat! It is important that you do things that make you feel GREAT!!!
If you think you can't afford it, get creative. Do you have a friend who is a masseuse that you could do a trade with? Do you have a Natural Health College or Training School where students need to get extra practice... This way you in the flow - you are being of service to others and receiving at the same time - a beautiful gift....
Living vibrantly and having loads of energy is about loving ourselves totally, and feeling good. Not in a conceited way, but a deep profound respect for ourselves and the wonder that we are.
In the words of Oscar Wilde, "To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong love affair"
Remember losing weight and keeping it off has nothing to do with dieting! Notice how we are already on to TIP #2 and we haven't even touched upon food yet!
Tip #3: Drink a big glass of water with fresh lemon each morning.
It is best to do it immediately upon rising. It's important that this glass of water is room temperature or slightly warmed - not freezing cold or boiling hot.
Fresh lemon juice is one of God's gifts to us - it is very beneficial to your body, especially your digestive system. It gently detoxifies and alkalises your body (even though lemons are acidic! Sounds strange I know - but just think that you are happy to drive a car (or be a passenger) without knowing how the engine works!)
Tomorrow we are going to look at some helpful food ideas and recipes for breakfast that will have you bouncing out of bed with more energy than you know what to do with...

Tip 4: Eat breakfast
First thing, after you wake up, have a glass of filtered water and squeeze some nice fresh lemon juice into it. Try to drink the water at lukewarm temperature.
Then go have a shower, and try not to eat anything else for 10 mins, even better if you can wait 30 minutes or longer, but I realise that in the morning time is always of the essence! ;)
Then, time for breakfast!
Here are some of my favourite Breakfast ideas...
FRESH FRUIT SALAD - a big bowl of freshly chopped up fruit (organic) if possible, delicious! Go for your favourites, and enjoy! Sprinkle over chopped up nuts, seeds, ground up linseed, bee pollen, let your imagine go....
STEAMING HOT PORRIDGE (with treats) - My winter favourite!
Heat together 1 cup of porridge and approx 2 cups water (or follow directions on the package). Sprinkle in a good couple of pinches of real organic sea salt, some raisins, dates, chopped up nuts, chopped up dried fruit such as apricots, figs, prunes..... Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! Eat with organic soy milk, rice milk, almond milk. Oh and a dash of cinnamon. This is sooo good it's making me hungry!
* Cinnamon is natures magical sugar balancer...
PRINCESS DELIGHTS - a summer, winter, breakfast, snack, anytime favourite! This is a mix and match recipe, so add quantities as you desire....
Mix together organic rolled oats, with your favourite natural juice (no concentrates). I like apple, but you can use any. You want it to completly absorb into the oats and still be wet. Add any or some of the following...cinnamon, fruit, nuts, elderflower juice, rosewater or orange water. Now this mixture will keep for up to 7 days, if it lasts that long! To serve you can layer with fruit in a sundae glass or just scoop out of bowl and eat as is...
TIP #5: Food is your friend.
So often with diets they focus on starvation and deprivation. But to maintain a new healthy way of living and life embrace food!
As I mention I love food and here is a delicious cake that is GOOD for you and your body and tastes delicious! A great snack anytime!
This delicious cake will satisfy any of your sweet cravings... ENJOY, TASTE, EXPERIENCE THE DIVINITY OF REAL FOODS....
Delicious Carrot Cake
1 c almonds (soaked)
¾ c dates (soaked)
1c carrot pulp
¾ c carrot juice
1 grated carrot
1 T ginger
1 T orange zest
1 T lemon zest
1 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg
½ c raisins
½ c walnuts or dry shredded coconut
1 t lemon juice
First if you don't have carrot juice and pulp, juice the carrots and get that part ready. Next put the almonds and dates in a food processor and grind fine, until it forms a ball. Put it in a bowl with the carrot juice, carrot pulp, spices, zests, lemon juice and grated carrot. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Add the raisins and walnuts or coconut. This is your carrot cake. Form a circle or square or shape of choice on the plate.
3/4c cashews (soaked)
2 dates (soaked)
1 orange (juiced)
1t orange zest
1-2T lemon juice
1/4 vanilla bean
Put all of these things in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Taste. If yummy, great. If not, add more dates, more lemon, more cashews, whatever. When it's yummy, dump it on the cake. As for decoration use strawberries, raspberries, coconut, flowers, zest, spices you name it!
TIP #6: Get proper sleep.
Today's health tip is Sleep - Do what you need to do to make sure you get enough sleep. Most people don't get enough deep sleep.
This is when our bodies rest, recover, repair, heal and do lots of magical things that even scientists don't know anything about yet! Even so, there is lots of scientific studies on the benefits of getting a good nights sleep so ....
Todays' tip is short and sweet.
Tonight enjoy a long dreamy slumber and give your body all that it needs to regenerate, energise and detoxify.
TIP #7: Follow the 80/20 Rule.
You know the 80:20 rule? Well it applies to your health just as much as everything else.
And what I mean is that if 80% of the time you support and nourish your body with the right foods, loads of sleep, doing work that you enjoy, breathing, exercising, time out, creating supportive nourishing friends and having uplifting conversations that inspire you, then this creates an inner strength and vitality that will nurture you through the rest of the times when life is stressful or challenging...
And remember, that life is such an illusion! All challenges are opportunities, it's just that our perception is usually not big enough to realise it at the time!
TIP #8: YOU are totally perfect, exactly as you are.
There is no need to change anything! So, take a deep breath in and allow this feeling of peace and perfection to move through your body. Realise you are loved and supported by the Universe and bask in this feeling.
